Klipsh has finally posted the specs and white papers for their new ProMedia 5.1 PC speakers system. If only I had $550 to spend on a new PC speakers system! But Jammrock is poor from building his new computer. Here are the drool links for those who care:
ProMedia 5.1 - 500 W RMS total power. 200 W dedicated sub-woofer, 5 satellites x 60 W a piece. The center channel is a horizontal version of the regular ProMedia satellite speakers. The 5.1's also come with a control tower, so no more tweaking or reaching to control the volume. Control tower has main, sub, surround and center volume. Uses 3 mini-stereo inputs. Retails at $400 USD.
Klipsch Tornado Audio 5.1 is a low cost Dolby Digital AC-3 decoder and Dolby Prologic decoder. Has inputs for analog mini-stereo, Toslink (fiber) and S/P-DIF for people with AC-3 passthrough on their soundcard. Perfect for turning your computer into a persoanl home theater when the wife/girlfriend/flatmate/significant other is consuming your TV. Retails at $100 USD.
