~15-20% of the IBM 75GXP 30 GB-75GB hds that I have sold in the last year has either been broken strait out of the box or died whitin a month!

Im not saying that Maxtor is bether IBM (Maxtor drives makes more noice,and are a bit slower [10%]etc.) but I have not had a single dm 60+ drive die on me so far (same goes has the IBM 60GXP)!

Just found this on Seagate's website. New 80GB Barracuda ATA IV will be out soon. Uses only two platters and has a special motor that is ultra quiet! Check it out.
