  • Opera + MURC = can't post.

In the last week or so I've taken to using Opera as my primary web browser. I have done so on occasion in the past. Only this time, I can't seem to post to these forums. It comes back with this

    Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Request header field is missing colon separator.

Any help? It's going to be a nuisance to have to switch back to IE when I decide to post something.

    I have that problem too...

I could look for a fix but its way to hot here to even consider thinking about anything other than the nice Thunderstorms that are to move in for the next few days (Hopefully to cool off the area and nuke the Smog Warnings)

Maybe someone else has come up with a workaround already.

I had a problem a while ago but now mine is trouble free.

      using Version 5.11
      Build 904
      Platform Win32
      System Windows 2000n (SP2)

      Java
      Sun Java Runtime Environment 1.3

I did grab the latest Sun JRE from sun and
I DO have java and java script enabled enabled

have been posting for quite a while using Opera 5.11

don't know if it makes a difference but I have a lot of advert sites mapped to locahost in my hosts files (disables adds, and fixs problems due to flaky ad servers)

opera has me hooked, Can't stand to use anything else anymore

you could try checking your cacheing and proxy settings?

Guess they fixed the problem in V5.12...

I like the message I got saying the administer has put a limit of one post per account for every 30 seconds
