Bitboys info at beyond3d

This reminds me of the People who were led to believe (by Matrox) that they had a gamers card coming out soon. Some of these people were also dismayed when Matrox announced the specs of the G550...It seems we are still waiting.

mdhome: in case you haven't noticed I am going to be in the deep shit anyway, if "the cicarette smoking man of Bitboys" has lied to me about their situation.

so, one murc doesn't feel anywhere anymore.

and mdhome there is couple of areas that I don't know and one is board manufacturers. so as I said it is possible but not sure.


mdhome you also understand that at least being finn makes my duty to try to correct wrong or old phrases considering Bitboys. I don't blame those who cannot believe before they see bitboys card. I understand them very well. But I don't understand ppl who cannot say that without attackin attitude. Hey, who's gonna hurt if they fail? or success?

Give 'boys chance, afterall competition makes good us, consumers...

I guess Bitboys will have to look for a company that does board manufacturing. But no matter how much I would like to see a Matrox/Bitboys card I just can't believe this - although all the other companies seem to have their own chips on their way (Radeon2, KyroIIUltra/Kyro3, GF3Ultra etc.)
I think I will look for some new hardware around Oct/Nov. this year. The more I can choose from, the better.

Trust me. I know what I'm talking about. And apart from one sample development board, they have produced exactly zilch. Nada. Nothing. Zero. Zip. Period.

well, Gurm if ya know, please tell me what these Shitboys released at The Assembly (world's largest LAN/Demo Parties.) 1992, or at The Party '93 (DemoParty, Denmark) or at the The Assembly '93 or at The Assembly 1997?

Also you can tell me what was the Real reason why Pyramid3D failed? Pyramid3D specs? (of course all variations, or at least that one which was running...)

Ann of course you know what connects ppl at Bitboys and ppl at Remedy Entertainment. (Max Payne wasn't Vapourware after all, or was it?)

Hmm well let's see. At Assembly 93, you say? Well. There was Second Reality (yes I know technically Future Crew, right?), and Dust (that was Triton, more on the money I think).

As for the reason Pyramid3D failed... my guess (and it's a guess, mind you) would be something about compulsory military service - the same thing that causes 9 out of 10 democoding groups to fail in the first place.

I think you can infer the "connection" (which should be MYSTERIOUS, right?) you allude to from what I've already said.

in case you haven't noticed, Future Crew Guys have been released working stuff already.

Death Rally and Max Payne are made by Remedy and at least three of the old FC guys are working there. (and two of the old FC ppl are working at Bitboys.)

in the Assembly '92 FC Released demo called Unreal.
in the Party '93 they released demo called Panic
In the Assembly '93 They (indeed) released Second Reality.

and in the Assembly 97 Bitboys showed Pyramid3D (TR25202) in action. (they actually really run techdemos with it.) and that was the final reference card. But what went wrong? The Manufacturer. The owner of the tech and rights, Tritech, losed a big patent lawsuit and because of that was declared to bankcrupt a day before starting production line. All drivers, and stuff were already ready and even 100 software developer boards were made. So that eBay board wasn't the only one.

Gurm, I don't have anything against your "I don't believe before I see" -attitude, but please, don't use Pyramid3D as an example. It wasn't Bitboys fault. Of course they have made mistakes too, ( Glaze3D hyping was partly a big one, but only partly because without that hype they wouldn't be there where they _really_ are. ) but Pyramid3D failure wasn't their fault.

Gurm, so feel free doubt about Bitboys chances, but please, base it on the facts. (If I were you, I would try get all out of "Shitboys" before they really turn to "Bitboys" )

And remember that Max Payne was Vapourware too, until it really came out. ( and I don't think that Max Payne is like a Daikatana. eventhough, it was in the works over four years, it still made in the market.)

No no, Max Payne is MUCH better than Daikatana.

And I'm not saying that these boys can't code (obviously I have the highest respect for Future Crew's coding abilities). I'm saying that they have this idea that they're going to do hardware design and it's all gonna work out OK. And obviously it isn't (yet).

Also, IIRC some of the members of Triton are involved in this little party as well. And we all remember "Into The Shadows", or at least we should.
