I did some upgrading to my system on Wednesday, and one of my new components is a Matrox G450 eTV. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get the video display to work correctly yet. I've connected the video card, and it works all right for a while. But then the image starts to wobble and flicker, and eventually it just goes black. Sometimes it comes back and works normally for a while, sometimes it displays a blue "OUT OF SCAN RANGE" error on my monitor. My system is set up like this:
Asus A7M266 Motherboard
1.4 ghz Thunderbird CPU
512 mb PC2100 DDR RAM
G450 eTV
SB Live!
Gateway Vivitron 15 monitor
Is the monitor the weak link here? It's 5 or 6 years old, and I wondered if it was too ancient to handle the high refresh rates of the G450 card. The system works fine (except for 3D gaming) with my old Marvel G200 installed. Is there a conflict between the G450 and the Asus board?
