Yeh that is odd apart from logging it doesn't display the logo if my memory serves me rigth. I did have a computer once that wouldn't boot when the logo was displayed. I turned off the logo and the system would boot normally.

Start removing cards one buy one until you find the guilty party. If you remember installing any software and hardware before it started remove that. Use the version conflict manager to see if anything been changed.

...is CANYON3D.SYS? My Win98SE hasn't anything like this.
Skim your Registry and Ini-files for the load command for this one. Delete this first. Also try to identify which piece of equipment needs this file and remove this one first.

The Terratec DMX uses the Canyon3D chip, so the CANYON3D.SYS file would be normal for HIS system.
