    I have no idea if it would be stable at 100mhz. Those into O/C might be able to help you with that question.

    You *should* have got a 100mhz bussed CPU to start with unless you were updating the board to match. Now your best route may be a GOOD 133mhz bussed mainboard.

    Given the problems with the 686b VIA southbridge the i815's aren't looking that bad anymore.

      i guess you're right... for now i managed to get Premiere 6 to run and capture DV well, seems stable on the current setup. Hopefully for a lil longer.

      I di not install DX8 just in case it crashes my machine again ! Premiere seems to be running alright witout it... wonder what i'm missing out on not installing Dx8 + capture patch ? will performance improve ? and how ?


      anyway i'm looking at putting together a new rig with an RT2500, man does it get boring having to wait for simple dissolves to render, when in the office thru the Dv500 its realtime ! I'm just a bit broke now to pay for the new setup... will have to wait a few months..
