The best drivers for XP are the XP drivers. There are enough changes to the kernel to warrant a new driver set (as will most OS's). In cases where drivers are not available, the Win2k drivers will usually work. But beware, especially with video and audio, some Win2k drivers will make XP unstable. I can play any game with my Kyro II in XP, but if I run a 3D screen saver, XP blue screens after a 10-15 minutes. Wierd stuff.
Some people use a combo of XP and 2K drivers. With the SB Live there is a way to use the 'stable' XP driver and get the functionality of LiveWare (I'll post it if you really want it).
In the end though, you'll be better off using the integrated XP drivers or whatever driver your hardware manufactures release around true XP launch time.

Integrated XP drivers are the ones installed when you setup XP. XP will have drivers built in for most of your stuff. I don't have any Beta XP drivers, and don't know of any company that has released any. Beta drivers spell trouble, which means more support calls.
Patience, gr****opper...full featured, downloadable XP drivers will soon be here for all your computing needs.
