    I just took out my Ultra66 and plugged in the Ultra100 TX2 and everything worked fine. Also my boot drive is on the card and I didn't have to change anything to SCSI in my BIOS. I don't recall doing that for the Ultra66 either, but I'll check.

      Thank you for all your suggestions, from all of this I decided that Ultra ATA 100TX2 Controller is the option for me:

      I don’t want to loose zip drive therefore replacing it with CD-RW is no no.
      I don’t want usb because it is slow and expensive.
      And by replacing DVD drive with combo DVD CD-RW I would loose the option directly copying from CD to CD.

          No Dilema

          Why not go scsi..you seem to like filling your machine up this will give you loads off space for more HDs and CDs. I have been using scsi since 1995 with much pleasure and speed.An it doesnt have to cost so much I have an adaptec 2940uw an which I have 3 Plextors drives from various speeds and 2 burners yamaha and plextor(4x and 12x)
