You can get the Elite, (ECS), board from both TekHeads and Aria .
When you own your own business you only have to work half a day. You can do anything you want with the other twelve hours.

Why the SiS now? It's hardly available and if you wait only few weeks you'll have the KT266A which is a much better performer - and it WILL be much more spread (how many MB companies support the SiS735?) so you'll have a bigger chance future products will be tested on compatibility.

The KT266 is already fine stability- / compatibility-wise (none of the KT133A horrors), it's just not that great performing. The KT266A will cure this.

And if you're a VIA hater, I'd still think about an AMD-based MP mobo instead.

Apart from the 40% price difference?

SiS have come out with a very good performer at a silly price. You get the choice of memory you use and if you want it has integrated stuff too. Ideal for building a second box.

Apart from the fact that most of the manufacturers who support SiS have their heads up their rear ends with regard to quality control (not something you could POSSIBLY accuse VIA of ) i cant see any reason not to give it a try.

I am considering the SIS for a number of reasons.
          1) Cost. cant afford much at the moment
          2) just recently bought a 512mb sdram dim that wont work on any of my other motherboards..didnt know that at the time.
          3) I was considering waiting to see what either the nVidia or KT266a woud cost but I reckon that either way I will still see a massive increase in speed going from a p3-500 to a athlon/duron. Stability is the key here.

I have a friend in Florida who has tried the 735 about 2 weeks ago. He says it flies.

Not everybody has problems with this chipset (KT133A), for instance myself. I haven't experienced anything but pure speed and stability and enjoyment!

I'm using a SIS735 ( ECS K7S5A), its a great board for 60 quid you get on board LAN and audio. I got mine from Aria click here for a direct link.

A few tips for when you use it:

                1. Connect the L7 bridges on your CPU.

                2. Use a high quality PSU, i'm talking about 400 Watt amd approved here.

You need to do these two steps (especially the 2nd step) to avoid video posting problems from a cold boot, FYI this is the only problem i have ever come across using this board, its very stable and pretty fast.

Check OCworkbench's ECS forum for all the latest bioses and overclocking bioses.

If you wait apparently ABit, Asus and Gigabyte are releasing SIS735 based boards.
