Well now there's a good comparison Doc... your P3 coppermine 850 vs my Athlon 500@850...
Your cpu (stock) ~22.5 watts
My cpu (OC'd) ~85.4 watts
Course mine is "old tech" now, but considering it's been running these speed since Nov '99 I'm happy. It does show how extreme heat can be a factor in cpu destruction/need for a very good HS.
