    I'd probably go for the Kyro first.

    The Palomino CPUs are coming, and I'd expect price drops.
    Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

        About your USB troubles: You might be able to tackle that by setting the "Enhanced Chipset Performance"-setting on Enable in the CPU-menu in your BIOS, installing the latest VIA 4in1-drivers and the VIA USB filter.
        I've had similar problems with my KT7, and this did the trick.
