  • El Cheapo AMD MotherBoards

I have a friend as me to draw up a system that he can use for his kids in Highschool. I got everything picked out except the Motherboard. I was thinking going with a motherboard with onboard sound since I dont want to deal with the SB Live/VIA problems and I can save money going this route for him also. I've been looking at the SIS 735 chipset on the the ECS K7S5A motherboard. Anyone have any dealings with this board or suggestions for another? I'm looking for a DDR board with onboard sound...thats only thing needed...

Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

If you're doing it on a really tight budget, the SiS 735 seems the way to go.
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.
