so whats the advantage of a P3 over a Celery stick? Is it actually faster?

Yeah, more cache. And Celerons have some features disabled. And most P3's are 133mhz FSB now.
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

I think the cache has a higher latency as well

Well... so far I am at 1100 Mhz with out any hiccups after an hour of messing around and gaming on Win2K

Runs a little warm.. but so does my case...

I still have to do up the numbers for 1100 Mhz but I have the results of 566, 566@850, and 1000 in sisoft (Average of Three runs.. clean install and boot of Win98SE.

Chart goes as thus (Temp and Voltage Shown Beside Mhz)

              566----------------- 41 (1.65V)
              566@850------------ 50 (1.9V)
              1000---------------- 51 (1.75V)
              1100---------------- 52 (1.75V)
              1200---------------- 53.5 (1.75V)

and then I will add to it when I hit the maximum.

              5438--------6652
              5931--------7255
              6479--------7928

              Memory Bench

              ALU----------FPU
              205----------237
              240----------269
              308----------350
              336----------382

Time to put it through its paces some more.

Well I am at 1200Mhz now at stock voltage... I have it looping some burn in stuff to see if I can get it to lock up.

Its still running pretty warm... I will add the nominal temps to the chart above as well as the scores for 1100 and 1200 when I get back home.
