    Not if the cost for the good heatsink is higher than the differene to the 200MHz faster CPU-model... (which can actually be the case with some coolers).

    Still if you've already got the fastest/most expensive CPU-model available at the time,....

      Like when I cranked mine up 350mHz, a 70%
      OC!... there weren't any cpu's on the market for any $$$ that could do that stock.

      Total cost... ~$35... cooling was extra.. but then I made my own so that totaled about another ~$25

          Well that's now they're installed... but then those parts were purchased Feb/Mar 2000 should have the last parts needed to finish tommorrow.

          The other half is off to Disney World Sat/Sun so I have the time to case mod

              BTW, thanks Tempest! You've put the fear of trashing his cpu in him... and that's a shame, cause the Athlon is most likely the most indestructable and most overclockable cpu ever made.
