  • Notebook LCD screen. How to maintain it ?

    Hi,

    Just curious.
Does anyone has a good way to maintain LCD pixels ? (to avoid loss of brightness, dead pixels... etc)

Does switching on/off LCD screen wear out the pixels faster than to keep the screen on using a screensaver ?

    Regards.

The lower the use the less you'll loose brightness... but this is not due to the LCD, but rather the backlight... they burnout and must be replaced.

To prevent pixel loss, don't bump, hit, shock the screen in anyway... the only real way to kill one is by breaking it... or one of the pixel drive IC's transistors bail on it.
