  • MOBO exchange

Is it neccessary to do a reinstall or delete all harware settings when one changes the mobo... i have just gone from p2b to p3b-f and all seems well... no errors or problems... i want to reformat my harddisk in any case but i'm happy that everything is running well ... for once in a long while, also i just managed to get all 3 pcs at home to share my dsl connection ! so iw ant to enjoy that for a few days !!!

NO the actual reason is that i'm not sure whether to go back after the reformat to Win2k Professional or whther i shiould consider Win2k server... or WinXP !?

well, since both mobos use the same chipset, I guess there won't be (m)any problems.

If you put all the pci cards in slots that use the same IRQ channels (a,b,c and d), Windows shouldn't even 're-detect' those cards
