  • My New Monitor!

    Well, I just got my new monitor up and running. And boy, is it SWEEEEEEET!

    <img src="http://www.bigmonitors.com/images/products/f1200_oval.gif">

    Cornerstone f1200 17.4" LCD flatpanel with MVA (Multi-Viewing angle, you can ACTUALLY look at it from the sides without losing the colors) and a built-in USB hub.

    These LCD panels take a bit of getting used to - your eyes really don't know how to do a perfectly flat film at a typical monitor distance... even those of us that use laptops a lot tend to only sit about a foot away from them. I have to keep myself from getting closer to this. But it is crisp and beautiful and best of all the ghosting of LCD's - while still present - is minimized since this model has a 25ms pixel response (works out to about 40fps ideal, 30fps actual) which is twice as fast as most other LCD's.

    Well, so far I like it. I'll let y'all know how it goes.

      You really are lucky! Dammit! I was going to get a better conventional monitor and be all proud. Now that you showed that off I'm gonna go sulk.

      Nice toy man!

          Nifty. Ghosting drives me nuts though. How does this monitor handle FPS games?
          Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

            Ghosting is "better" but not "gone".

            FPS games are "poop", but not "utter shit".

            See where I'm going with this?
