This ones got me stumped. I was copying files from one shared drive across the network to a folder on another pc the machine hung during copying one file so I cancelled the operation.
I then got the message about activex scripting being disabled.
I canceled that and tried to copy the files again and nothiong happened. The directory that I was trying to copy to was diplayed as %mydirectory% in the explorer window. I rebooted and tried again same result. Rebooted both machines and the same result. I then noticed that it was only avi files that wouldn't copy the extension that crashed. Anyway I got fed up opened a dos window and copied the lot across that way. Cleared the files from the shared drive and created another avi file and this would copy across without any problems. So what the heck caused it?
