    You never tried what I asked. Move your monitor back to where it was and see if the problem goes away.

      Are there any AC/DC converters nearby? Those can wreak havoc on monitors.

      Also if you have power lines running nearby, those can cause problems. I get interference from the huge power lines running near my place. Healthy, too.

      Try rotating the monitor and closely watching where the shimmering/flickering takes place. If the location of it moves around then you are definitely dealing with interference rather than other issues.

        Dave,

        It seems to go away when I move it back but I still can't figure out why it does this. I really didn't want to move this back as I've already moved my other stuff for this (including my speakers ).
