groovy screenshots! remind me of one of my old dosgames: ecstatica, it was an "alone in the dark"-clone and used elipsoids as primitives.
however you need alot of primitives to make realistic graphics,(which is what raytracing is all about), however i heard that reflection is the real framerate killer, when it comes to raytraycing.This sig is a shameless atempt to make my post look bigger.
