Yup I've gone and ordered an ATI 8500. However my G550 will have to move into my other machine. No doubt something will break in windoze when I install the cards.

I got a Radeon 8500LE too couple weeks back, sold my G400MAX just before christmas. All i have to say about this great card is that it SURE FLY's on games. Any game that i have tested i can run pretty much full detail and resolutions 1280 or 1600. ( Excluding Tribes 2 ).
And i have to agree Anisotropic filtering sure rules. Im just not sure if 8 tap is enough or should i stay with 16tap. Damn ATI is not releasing that new XP driver, even though some hardware-sites had the driver for about a month. What i have heard smoothvision gets a BIG boost.
Btw, havent tried this one myself yet, but try playing on your TV with 6x smoothvision. I have to get a adapter to my loooong tv-cable to get the damn thing to work.
RTCW sure looks like another game with Radeon than with G400.

I dunno about that...I had RTCW on my GF PC with the G400 and found out that the 3D quailty was sharper on her computer then mine with my R8500.Originally posted by PeTe

Should arrive tomorrow hopefully. Can't comment on TV output as I don't have a TV. I have two computers one of which has a TV card in it. I haven't anywhere to put a TV now the choice was spend a lot on a new TV or buy a TV card which cost a lot less.

Shit again another week to wait and no one else has them in stock. Well not from my prefered suppliers anyway. Dabs and Simply.
