  • Where to set up a free mailing list?

I would like to set up a small mailing list with a group of friends. I'd like it just to be our small list of email addresses and configured such that any of us can mail to the list at any time, preferably a web-based system.

Does anybody know of a free web-based mailing list system that is decent?

    Thanks,
    b

What about Yahoo Groups (formerly eGroups)?

Latest news coverage, email, free stock quotes, live scores and video are just the beginning. Discover more every day at Yahoo!

It provides both web and email retrieval. It's currently the home of the MUG list (MediaStudio Pro Users Group) and it seems to work nicely.

Yeah, I looked into that one a little. They aren't excessively descriptive on the pages about it, so there's still a few things I'm wondering about.

For instance, email address security. I know that the moderator of the group will have access to all the email addresses, and I don't mind everybody in the group having access, so the real question is: can somebody NOT in the group see the addresses partially or wholly?

Maybe I'll just set up an account and see, I can always remove it if it's not satisfactory.

      Thanks for the quick reply.
