  • Alright, I got rid off all Creative Crapware in my computer, now, Videocard!

Current rig is in sig. I want to upgrade my videocard to something with more oomph and also make my system more of a "multimedia center." I don't want to pay the extra dough for the Radeon AIW 8500DV, but love the remote, great 3D(still very buggy mind you) and decent 2D.
So far, what I have settled on is the Radeon AIW 7500(I can get it for about $265-270 CDN at work). Anybody have any experience or insight to my selection? Any other suggestions?
I still play games, but nothing more than Quake 3 based engines and like to play in 1024x768x32. 2D is very important to me. I hate the display quality of my MX400 and long for the days when my G400MAX was good enough for everything on the block...

The 7500 is a fine card indeed.

I have one (Not the AIW mind you) and its definately much zippier/higherquality than the GF2 GTS I had in my system before.

I have had a few little driver difficulties.. but nothing enough to kill the system and anyone with some time and patience can sort out the issues so that the card runs well for his/her needs.
