    Ack The Pit has no luck.

    Thanks for sharing your bad luck,

    Maybe your luck would be better if you replaced those IDE cables with good ones (even non rounded ones would be better) since the current ones are probably causing you bad sector problems.

      W2000 is also rather picky about moving NIC's between PCI slots.....
      If there's artificial intelligence, there's bound to be some artificial stupidity.

        And the bad week is continueing today my other machines hard drive went belly up. Another run of drive fitness another floppy screw up and then a re-install by Nortons ghost proves it's value.
        At the same time I discovered another that the fan over the north bridge was sticking. I replaced that.
        My new 22 inch Monitor suffers from focus problems along the bottom at least my replacement iilyama monitor is a newer monitor I'll try that in a minute.
        I give it up.
