What do you guys think of <a href="http://www.theinquirer.net/02040213.htm" target="_blank">this<a/>.

It´s obviously not an april fools joke.
    It´s a tad scary, don´t you think?

So soon we're all be running a Microsoft OS on a Microsoft CPU, playing Microsoft Games and using Microsoft 3D packages accelerated by a Microsoft Graphics card?

I wonder what Intel/Amd and Nvidia/Ati/Matrox etc are thinking about this? Probably laughing their socks off (until they are bought by Big Bill G).

        Steve,

that´s not what the article implies, is it?. But the companies you mention, and others, will have to pay license fees to MS.
That could be bad enough. What will the terms of getting such a license be? Stop supporting alternative OS:es?

Just one of many not-so-funny possibilities.

You can´t laugh at the market and financial strengths of MS.

We can still run Linux on a Intel/AMD CPU, playing OpenGL Games, probably with a new Matrox craphics card . Or we could still switch to Apple. No license fees for Mickeysoft.

Or it could push IBM and others into spending more money funding *nix research
