Maybe it´s a taboo here or something, but as far as I´v seen the Asus A7N266-E is quite a bargain with onboard Realtek and Killer soundcard (ignoring the graphic portion).

      MSI KT3 Ultra-ARU

This is a heck of a motherboard, except for one problem. There is currently a lot of debate about whether the bios kicks in a 1/5 PCI to fsb divider when it hits 166MHz on the fsb. Some say it does, others say it doesn't (I'm in the latter camp, based on my experiences so far). Regardless, I'm now running my unlocked XP2100+ at 11x166 (setting the memory / fsb syncronous, instead of the +33 async that I used under the default locked processor). Memory bandwidth is now nearly on par with P4's using the i850 and RDRAM (the 800 stuff, not that wimpy 600 crap). Unfortunately, stability, while still very good, I would NOT call excellent. It seems my PCI bus is running at nearly 42MHz, and of course there's that 1/2 AGP divider (which at this point affects almost zip video cards)..
      "..so much for subtlety.."

      System specs:
      Gainward Ti4600
      AMD Athlon XP2100+ (o.c. to 1845MHz)
