  • I became a NVidiot today...

Well, I decided to get a new graphics card today, since I don't have a lot of cash I got the cheapest I could fine that wasn't shit (At least I hope it's not ) It's a GeForce 3 Ti200 64MB for about $150, the cheapest I could find here in Sweden. It's also the same amount that I payed for my G400MAX in 1999. It's hard to believe that I had that card for 3 years now... I didn't bother to read any reviews or test about the G400 nor did I read any now...
The thing that got me to order a new card was the god damn game Jedi Knight 2, after paying $40 it looked worse than Unreal 1 in some places, while it was beatiful on friends Radeon 8500

I'm planning on selling my G400 now, how much do you think I can get? And is there any nvidia website/forum that is as good as MURC is? I mean without idiots/flaming etc.??
    QDI KinetiZ 7E, Athlon XP 1800+, 1 GB PC133 SDRAM, ATi Radeon 9600 PRO 128 MB, SB Live! 5.1, Memorex 40x CD-RW, NEC ND-2500A DVD-/+RW, 120 + 80 GB Seagate Barracuda, Windows XP SP1, 17" LG L1710B TFT

    Well...

The IDIOT part you already have covered...

And why do yo think that you have to leave the forums or change forums just because you don't have A matrox card in your can any more!?!

The Murc forums are above such ideas!!!
If there's artificial intelligence, there's bound to be some artificial stupidity.

        Or at least tolerate you

And at the very least, you'll wish you had saved your money a little longer, and not taken the dark path

Why on earth would you sell a convenient spare part especially a good one such as this? It is always good to have a spare video card. My Nvidia base card failed and I would have been screwed without my Marvel G400.

That is a good choice for price/performance for the GEForce lines of cards. Visual quality is another matter. Is the card an Asus?

I put a Kyro2 in the home theatre/games machine in the living room so we can play, I don't feel embarrassed about that, while we wait for something better.

Everything else is still Matrox where it matters, ie in the study where we like to see what we're doing when we work (A Marvel G200 and a Mystique)

Kruzin, do you know something I don't?? If so, e-mail me all the relevant info and I'll cancel my order

And, High_Jumbllama, it's not an Asus, it's something called "Point Of View", first time I heard of them so they must be good

The old saying is wrong. Those who wait needlessly get nothing most of the time. Those that make things happen are ussually better off.

In general though, "old sayings" piss me off, because they are ussually used by people when convenient, rather than when they are correct for the situation.

Congrats alekz on your new purchase. I hope it brings lots of fun, and whatever you do, don't allow yourself to regret it.
