I would think that the BBz are going AMD because their role is to put hardware and software to its limits in crappy unstable conditions.

For those pinheads who think I am an intel zealot, at the moment I am running an AthlonXP and an AMD K6-2 at home... so
        AMD Phenom 9650, 8GB, 4x1TB, 2x22 DVD-RW, 2x9600GT, 23.6' ASUS, Vista Ultimate
        AMD X2 7750, 4GB, 1x1TB 2x500, 1x22 DVD-RW, 1x8500GT, 22" Acer, OS X 10.5.8
        Acer 6930G, T6400, 4GB, 500GB, 16", Vista Premium
        Lenovo Ideapad S10e, 2GB, 500GB, 10", OS X 10.5.8

well, paul certainly deserves craig barrett's NINE figure compensation package if he is responsible for smoothing out intel's process technology lately. (i dont think AMD could really match barrett's package, but yeah JS3 is a rich bastard.. show me a fortune500 CEO who isnt!)

Both of these guys are small potatoes earnings wise compared to some of the CEO's I've known... and all of them are privately owned companies.

Biggest reason for most people to go AMD is price!
The most expensive AMD cpu is less than half the price of Intels priciest!
Intel might have released the "Speed" demon with their 2.4GH but it's also the "Price" demon!
So if I buy a amd 1733Mhz instead of a Intel 2.4 (or even 2.2) i will still get better speed in games because i saved enough to buy a super gfx card! (like mayby Parhelia)
