  • New Audigy/Live Compaq XP Driver Available

A few days back Compaq released a 377MB update for the Augidy & Live! Soundcards that (presumably) come pre-installed in some of their systems. One user has now extracted just the Drivers & uploaded them.
This 13MB Drivers is available at 3DWin. To install the Driver, extract the files & run the CTZAPXX executable. As far as I've read this is for XP only, though I don't see why it won't install on Windows 2000 as well
Note - I installed this Driver myself, Audio HQ, Surround Mixer, etc. do not need to be uninstalled & will work just fine with this new Driver. This Driver also includes OpenAL support, so those of you with Jedi Outcast can delete the openal32.dll file in the Game's directory, the one contained with this Driver is newer & seems to work better also. As far as I can tell it also fixes the Hardware acceleration problems noted in Games like Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault.

According to the latest official figures, 43% of all statistics are totally worthless...

I'm actually more impressed by the size of the update, 377MB!
