Thing I find confusing isn't Nvidia the same people who told us that a 512 bit Chip is overkill and not to expect one from them?
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

Yes they are. With them and 3DLabs putting out their specs when they did it is just them trying to do some damage control. They know that Matrox has a real winner on it's hands this time around.

Libertarian is still the way to go if we truly want a real change.

those specs are some funny shit man!!!!

writing to a spec(..dx 9.1!!!!) that is over a year away, so basically they are designing around beta specs...some how i knew this was coming...virtual specs...next will be virtual benchmarks by none other than the virtual nvIDIOT THG.

like someone already said...the squirming continues!!!

How to make up "rumoured specs":

                  1) Take all current top-range known specs from the various manfs.

                  2) Divide into categories/lines

                  3) Take the best one from each line

                  4) Multiply by 1.2 to 2.0 depending on how "believable" you want them to be.

                  5) Add a few bits of support for standards that are currently in development (e.g dx9, OpenGL 2, AGP 16x; all the time hinting that this manufacturer has "inside knowledge")

                  6) Post into some well-read forum with a bias towards that manf., with an appropriate cover story (my auntie's live-in-lover works there)

                  7) Sit back, watch and laugh

                    Hey!
We have to start making "rumoured specs" for ParheliaII, or perhaps Parhelia1024
