Seems the whole world got exactly 4 screenshots of Doom 3... They're probably posted elsewhere on the forums already, but http://www.gamespy.com/e32002/pc/doo...eenshots.shtml

I just got done reading the article at GameSpy about Doom 3. This game sounds like its going to scare the crap out of you. Visuals is one of the most important aspect of a game for me and I've always been a fan of the id doom/quake series. The new engine looks like its begging for the P and a bad-ass CPU. I really look forward to playing this game ... but not alone in the dark.

Well, you could just play Quake in reality: http://wearables.unisa.edu.au/projects.php

I worry about mixing real-world and gaming. Ever have the urge to fire off some missles or try some aggressive maneuver while driving after a heavy session of FPS gaming? I thought so.

You're not worried about mixing RL and gaming. You're worried about people having missile launchers on their Toyotas VR or not, that would be a problem.

On a more positive scenario, I'm flashing back to the Red Dwarf episode, "Better Than Life": Much better VR gaming.

wow the graphics sure do look different then the ol'days of duke. lol...

                      thank god for that

I remember playing Doom back in 97 or something and thinking . wow this looks great.. and last year we got it out again for fun on the playstation.. and it looked so so very bad...its funny how times have changed in the gaming world..

In a few years it will probably be normal for all of us to have virtual reality gaming rooms installed in our houses.

Liz, were you doing an Ozzy impersonation? If so you got it pretty damned close.

I sense great amounts of anger in Lizzie.

I think that pic of Lizzie reminds me of Sandra Bullock!
