  • Intel unveils new chipsets with integrated graphics

One of the chipsets, the 845G, is aimed at higher-end corporate and home PCs, which will likely cut into the sales of some lower-end graphics chips sold by Nvidia Corp. and others, analysts said.
Anybody know of reviews on these chips? I wonder how much this will impact Matrox.

I seriously doubt that they will present any impact on Matrox sales!

According to the latest official figures, 43% of all statistics are totally worthless...

This will just be good for low end business machines for simple 2D and 3D. Matrox markets and produces primarily for the Quality part of the business market. THey may overlap somewhat, but this will not at all give Matrox any concern.

My cousin and her husband have a home based mortgage business. All their machines have use Integrated Intel chips because they don't need anything else.

They are intended for the low cost low end market.

BTW - did you see the new 533MHz FSB chipsets and P4's. The new 845E and 850E to use with the 2.4B and 2.53B GHz Northwoods.
