DirectX 9.0 Beta - performance gain ?

I put on DX 9 on my work machine.... and it still takes Access and Word the same amount of time to open....

Oh but spider solitaire does seem to display cards a wee bit faster but I think its just my imagination

Therefore I conclude that it doesn't work and if I say it doesn't work then as far as I am concerned anyone who says that it does work is smoking crack.
