combo drive

Hello. I want to buy a combo drive: DVD/CDRW. I have been looking at the pioneer DCR-11, 40x12x10x12. I've heard these drives lack the performance of single function drives, but I'm not too concerned. First of all, has anyone had experience with combo drives, and if they have could they give me some info of what they are like? Secondly, what is the best one going around at the moment?

I recently picked up a Plextor PleXcombo 20/10/40-12a combo, and so far I love it.
Burns a 700 meg disk in about 5 min, and has run great for me so far. Much better than the old 2x coaster maker and ancient 2x DVD dive I was running...
