  • What are these Memory settings for????

Anybody know what these settings do???
This is in the Bios Advanced Chipset features for my ASUS P4B533, DDRAM.

    CK x 16 Strength Control= 2.00X
    CK x 8 Strength Control= 2.00X
    DQ DQS Strength Control= 2.00X

They are all set at 2X by default in the Bios.

hmmm.... I think it's the daily steroid dosis your motherboard will feed the RAM. Don't set it much lower or they will get weak again

Errmm nope. Now this is where it would be useful if the help menu told you what it did.
Take a note of the orginal settings. Benchmark your system and then have a play and see if the performance gets better or not.

probably the same sort of thing my Asus has an option for (called 'memory drive strength'). Has to do with better signal integrity and especially meant for running the RAM at OCed speeds.
