    Your sig doesn't say what operating system you are running !

    In XP you can tell the op.sys to NOT use powersaving on select USB nodes !

    (In some cases powersaving disconnects USB adsl modems etc.)

      I wouldn't be so fast to say it's a Logitech/MS issue. USB requires a lot more attention from the processor to work.
      Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

        Wombat, my and my GF's mouse are on PS/2 and show that exact same behaviour - my trusty old serial mouse didn't. Never.
