win98, ax6bc and 3 HDs....

    win98, ax6bc and 3 HDs....

    Is it possible to install 3 Hds on a AX6Bc??
    Ide1 = 40G master & 11G slave
    ide2 = CDRW master & 40G slave

    I did this setup and even if my BIOS is seeing my third HD, when opening
    Explorer, nothing has changed! New Hd has no letters and is not seen by Explorer...

    Any ideas??

      Had something like that before and I decided to put data on it then I rebooted and guess what... All my extended parttions disapeared... I think its a virus that affect extended partitions...
      Like az mentioned Fdisk and format (of course backup first) . Hope this helps.

      BTW what happend to me was that a whole 1GB apeared out of nowhere and it appeared as a new disk.
      What was the error? Well its the ID10T error.

        merci to you 2!! I did format and partition but I will re-do it again....

        Maybe a firmware bug also...

        Will post later......

        (I did many setups for the whole Ides, master slave etc......) but will Fdisk)

          well, search me why (like we say in french), but I re-format and did not partitionned the new Hd and by a "miracle", all 3Hds are now there.....
          I love these OOSes.......
          Will try partition magic to partition the new one....
