I am currently using the vxd 4081 drivers without issues; is there any benefit to trying the wdm 4164 betas? What exactly is the difference between the formats?

I'd wait for them to become release drivers then see if there's anything in the release notes that sounds attractive.

The WDM's don't work as well as the VXD's do in Win9x.

      HOWEVER...

Turtle Beach has discontinued active development on the VXD drivers (as well as active support for Win9x). Therefore, you may HAVE TO switch, as soon as one of your games starts to not work properly.

Until then, leave well enough alone. You'll have switched to WinXP before you run into any serious problems anyway.
