What componets would you suggest on getting for my new system have about 2G to spend in total for componets. I already have case and power supply, so I just need some help with componet selection.

Be a a little more specific. -
Get a rock, go buy some silicon from Home depot, spread it on the rock, hook up some battery cables to it and gow to town! Be careful though, don't overclock it.

You can see that you can get quality components and not use up much of your budget.
