Networking adventure

ok guys the time has come..

UPS just brought me my Ethernetfast 10/100 5-port Workgroup Hub & 2 EthernetFast 10/100 Lan Cards.

I'm going to attempt to network my 2 computers for now, then add on my roommates pc whenever she decides to buy a ethernet card. Now, i'm a person who got excited last year when i learned how to add memory to a pc.

Any good how to's around? and what other stuff do i need? I've heard it is possible but hard to network 2 pcs together in an attempt to get them both online on a 56k.... is it possible
