Stupid Remote Email error

Well Starting yesterday I'm having problems accessing my ATT email account I use for work. I have it set up to access the POP3 mail server through the internet via Outlook 2000 and I get this error (see attachment) when ever I goto send email out, but I can receive email with no problem. ATT Tech support was useless and I even deleted the account and reset it up with the same results. Anyone else have any more suggestions?

Try telneting to the SMTP server through port 25 and check whether you can e-mail that way.

Check your account and veify whether the Outlook sends username and password to the SMTP server. If it does, uncheck the option so sending mail will be without username&password.

You can also try downloading another mail client just to be sure.
