BuddMan, did you delete your previous posts or did the "Phantom Post eater" strike again?

The discussion doesn't really make sense anymore the way it is currently shown with those posts missing.

Lol ...I think the Phantom Post Eater has struck again. I have a pretty good idea who he was this time though.

Well, I called them today but the lady said "HE" was busy and I would have to leave a message. I did this and never got a call back. Kinda odd that their support line has only a "he" working for them.....hmmmm....

But I did get his direct email address via his voice mail. He hasn't replied back on that either though.

Have anyone of you tried the kX Project drivers?
They work on ny emu10k1 and emu10k2 cards and sound so much better.

                  *sigh*

Well, it's true. There really is one person for their tech support in the US. One person....and I've called three different times today. He's been at lunch all three times according to his assistant. I emailed him again....

Hmm, sounds like Ricoh Europe. Oneguy based in Germany. To quote from the conversation with him: "Do you have an extesion no. so we can get through to you directly?" "No, I always answer on this number. If it's engaged, just ring back in 5 minutes."(and boy, must he be a good linguist! ) However, he had a replacement cross shipped, so maybe that way of working is actually quite good.

Well, finally got a reply to the 2nd email. He told me that the Terratec card did not manage bass on all 6 channels and only "emulated" 5.1 sound in games. So I guess I'm gonna go with the two sound card setup: Audigy for games and Audiophile 2496 for music and DVD. Should be feasible with the Denon AVR-2802 reciever.

Now comes the hard part....saving the money.

Shows how badly many companies think of tech support. No wonder they don't gett he bugs fixed as no one can get through to tell them.

Hehe. I've tried the kX project drivers. Excellent, but not fit for gaming.
