Not the HHC-001 (or HHC-061 for the silent version) design! Look for some reviews, there are almost no bad things about it! Currently it is one of the best heatsinks you can get, I would have bought the silent version, but I thought a 5V adapter cable would do the job.... oh well, I hope I can figure out somekind of fix for that

      OK!
The Retail edition of coolermaster seems ok(but a pair of earplugs to their 6000+ rpm equiped HS would be nice).

BUT "Normal" colermaster produkts still suck!

Fans being too loud, is when you are able to surprize everybody with only the most awful pong produced by a huge fart after having consumed vast quantities of "sauerkraut"

All the fans in my server is also running at 7v (PSU, CPU and 80mm intake), it works great. The harddrives are the loudest in there now, but they are ok too, because i have put some rubber in each corner and placed them on the bottom of the case, in front of the intake fan.

My gaming rig is also silent. CPU cooler is a Silent Viking (about 26db), actually i thing the GPU fan is the most loud thing... The CPU is a P4 1.6GHz@2.4GHz, havn't tried any higher yet.
The Geforce 3 Ti 175/400 is running at 185/450 right now, i can get up to about 200/500.

I can ajust the 120mm intake fan with a selfmade (kit) voltage regulator. Actually it is a good fan, so i run it at full speed and i can not her it. I once had a 120mm 3dfxCool, it was like turning on a airplane... I also have voltage regulator on my 2 80mm outtake fans (in the back). They are not running at full speed, because then they are louder than my GPU and CPU fan.

The 30Gb IBM 75GXP is placed inside a SilentDrive with a modded slotcooler (7v) blowing at it, so it dosn't get to hot.

I've got 5 - 7 fans running depending on the outside temp with my case always open. It's quite loud as would be expected, but from my standpoint, it is good to have the background hum. I have tinitus in both ears and the hum helps me so that I cannot hear the tinitus - definately a plus imho!

But aside from that, it WOULD BE too loud as I can successfully hear it in the kitchen on the other side of the house....
