Wow, Chamsalot, being a lawyer, I looked here thinking you would have a comment on the EULA and perhaps an opinion on the 4th amendment there.

microsoft has written a few eula's that simply don't hold up in court.

Still they are a worry tho,

But I installed sp3 anyway, 10 minutes or so, no troubles, did not even choose the back up option

win2k is still the best OS MS ever produced.

                Problem with SP3

Did anybody encounter the same problem?
During SP3 installation there came an error message simply saying something like "there was an error during the update. The application was terminated." Then the windows installer was corrupt. The only possibility to save the system is a new installation without SP3.
I tried twice. Once just after a fresh installation. It didn't work.
                Can anyone help?
                Thanks!
