I use this as well and it is really good. The Microsoft mouse has better accuracy but other than that, I am very pleased. I really like the volume control on the keyboard since my speakers are hidden and hard to get to. It's very nice in games when the volume is too loud and you need to turn it down quickly or better yet,t here is a mute button too.

I'd suggest buying him a nice cordless mouse.
After I bought 2 new desks (one 120×80cm and one 160×120cm) early this year with multiple monitors (being a matroxuser since G200 '98) in mind I had to swithch to cordless mouse.
I just grabbed cordless OEM Logitech mouse for 24$ or the price of two regular OEM logitech wheel mice. The solution posted above is on my upgrade list.
If you interract with different computers (@home, @work), getting used to a split keyboard becomes a problem.
I'm realy picky when it comes to keyboards. After finding out I don't like Keytronic el cheapo keyboard I bought I took all 104 keys out of my cherry G83 and gave it a thourugh cleaning.
In my opinion cordless mouse is moure useful than cordless keyboard (unless you have a projector on one of your heads and use your keybard as a remote)

LOL!!! On reflection, I bet you meant a projector connected to one of the video heads and not strapped on top of your own head.Originally posted by UtwigMU

The HTPC crowd loves wireless keyboards. I bought an IR keyboard for my theatre. I have an IR repeater network set up inside and outside the house so I wanted to stick with an IR keyboard. Aren't the Logitech boards all short range RF?
I love my old clackety Northgate Omni Key keyboard but I don't know what they're doing these days. I find it easiest to stick with a standard keyboard if your jumping between numerous PCs. That said, I've never bothered investigating them new-fangled ergo hip-hop thingamajigs (geesh ... "thingamajigs" was actually in my spellchecker) .<TABLE BGCOLOR=Red><TR><TD><Font-weight="+1"><font COLOR=Black>The world just changed, Sep. 11, 2001</font></Font-weight></TR></TD></TABLE>

xortam, thingamajig can safely be exchanged with doohickie... which IS in the MS dictionary (US or AU, I can't tell)
I bought a funky little 'compact' keyboard which is basically just a laptop keyboard, minus the laptop... it seemed like a good idea at the time except when I tried playing CS with it... not so funkyLook, I know you think the world of me, that's understandable, you're only human, but it's not nice to call somebody "Vain"!

Zokespro:
According to the datahand manual, only a couple of keys have changed position. It appears you put your fingers in those cups, and then you have 5 keys (one below, and 4 on each side) for each finger. And similarly as in touch-typing, moving the left indexfinger down, will yield an 'f', moving it right will yield a 'g', up for 'r' and so on. I think it is a great design (if it weren't that expensive, I think I'd already have bought one).

Here's what I use (and recommend):
- Main workstation: Microsoft Internet Keyboard Pro; very confortable in the long runs, the palm rest is really comfy, but if you don't like it you can remove it quickly. The function buttons are somewhat useful (but I do use extensively the media and calculator buttons). and it has a 2-port usb hub; enough to plug in you mouse and you MP3 player/gamepad/videocam/usb electric razor, etc.
- My Lan box is equiped with a Viewsonic USB "hacker-style" keyboard, which is a 87-keys keyboard; very small, lightweight and good key feedback, and has very effective rubber "anti-slip" pads.

Scott ... the HTPC folks like the Airboard. Is this for gaming, HTPC, or general use?
..but I need the wireless for when its used at HTPC...
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

I use a Microsoft Natrual Elite USB keyboard. Not fancy, but very functional and comfortable (I have carpal tunnel on both sides, which makes a "natural" kbd essential).
A more upscale version is the Pro model, which has programmable buttons and extra USB ports;
An optical mouse might also be a nice gift. I just picked up several for $15 USD each at a local OEM retailer and they work just great.
