MITAC IS TO COMPLETE its buy-out of American motherboard maker Tyan Computer next month, according to Taiwanese sources.
The company will acquire Tyan through an afilliate in a share swap deal, far-eastern wires report. The deal will give Mitac control of between 60 to 70 per cent of Tyan's shares, as we discovered back here . The reports also suggest that fellow Taiwanese company, Elitegroup (ECS) will also acquire at least 10 per cent of the US company.
