IMAP, outlook and OE

I need to connect to an IMAP server to recieve my mail.
I have noticed that in Outlook Express there is a purge button that deletes all mail in the deleted items folder.

I cant find any similar function in Outlook. When i delete a message, outlook just puts a line though the title. Is there a way to purge mail in Outlook 2002?

Highlight IMAP Inbox, Edit menu, Purge.
