Was asked a question about UPS+power generators, but don't know
enough yet to provide an answer. Hoping one of you can help:
Have <a href="http://www.apcc.com/resource/images/products/sua1000xl_b_v.jpg">APC 1000XL SmartUPS</a>.
The 1000XL has your standard <a href="http://www.middleatlantic.com/images/ipower/5_15r.gif">5-15R socket</a> in the back.
Want to hook said 1000XL UPS into a 4000 or 5500 watt generator.
Problem -- each generator has a different plug.
4000 watt generator, sold out, has 120V-15A NEMA#5-15R plug.
5500 watt generator, available, has 120V-20A NEMA#5-20R plug.
Will the <a href="http://www.middleatlantic.com/images/ipower/5_20r.gif" title="picture of NEMA 5-20R socket">5-20R socket</a> on the 5500 watt generator work with the UPS?
Do I need a special cable or adapter?
