One of my users has this question: I don't know the answer and haven't been able to find it online as yet:
3 weeks ago, [xxxx] sent an attachment to my home e-mail which I didn't bother to open. The AOL software in due course archived the mail plus attachment. I went to retrieve it yesterday and it keeps telling me I cannot access the attachment any more. Sounds to me as though the system is set up to strip out attachments so as to minimise storage space-or am I being cynical? There is a command which allows to access a back-up copy of the archive-is there a chance it will let me recover the file? There seems to be a health warning attached to doing this-something about not being able to access the original copy again-should I worry?
Can anyone please suggest a way of retrieving this attachment?
TIA
